Any steps towards technology facilitation, including the proposed global online platform, must be guided by clear principles and criteria on what technologies are gender and economically equitable, environmentally-sound and socially appropriate, to ensure that technology transfer is not an end by itself but is a mean to attain sustainable development goals.
