HLPF 2016: Ana Celestial's Intervantion on Science-policy interface

“Science and technology are too powerful to be left in the hands of scientists, academicians, technocrats, and private enterprise alone. Instead of being mere users and buyers of the products of STI, people should have a direct say on its direction, use, and priorities.”

Ana Celestial (Agham) delivered her combined statement on behalf of the Women’s Major Group, during the 7th Session of the High-level Political Forum, on Science-policy interface: New ideas, insights, and solutions, at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development 2016, held in New York, on 12 July 2016.
